Surplus equalization determines the balance of assets that a married couple has accumulated during the marriage less the spouses' inheritances. For surplus determination purposes, GRP Rainer creates an asset balance sheet for each partner. On this basis, our lawyers determine the surplus equalization entitlements. This corresponds to half the difference in value between the two asset balance sheets. The surplus equalization may be ruled in court and out of court, which, in the latter case, is accomplished through a separation agreement. Our attorneys will gladly draft for you a legally valid divorce agreement.
